What is the Mobile Summer Institute (MoSI)?
The Mobile Summer Institute is a week-long professional development workshop that helps faculty implement evidence-based teaching strategies to improve student learning and engagement.
Will I receive compensation for participating?
Yes. Faculty participants may be eligible for:
- $1,250 for completing the MoSI workshop
- Up to $300 in MiniGrant funding to support classroom implementation
- $250 per semester for participating in the Community of Practice
Do I need to attend MoSI before applying for a MiniGrant?
Yes. Completion of the MoSI workshop is required before applying for MiniGrant funding.
What kinds of expenses can MiniGrant funds support?
MiniGrant funds may be used for instructional materials, classroom supplies, equipment, or other resources that support the implementation of evidence-based teaching practices.
