Program to help former ITT students receive credit

Share

Marshall University academic officials have announced “Pick Up Where You Left Off”—a new program intended to help former ITT students continue their education at Marshall.

Former ITT students may be eligible to enroll in Marshall University’s Regents Bachelor of Arts (R.B.A.) degree program and may receive college equivalent credit through a portfolio assessment for skills and knowledge learned in previous ITT coursework. These credits, along with Marshall University coursework, can lead to completion of requirements for a bachelor’s degree.

Prospective students interested in this option should contact Andrew Gooding, director of the R.B.A. program, at rba@marshall.edu for a preliminary review of their previous coursework and professional experience and how that will fit in with completing a degree at Marshall University.

The Regents Bachelor of Arts program is a four-year, general studies degree program with no major but the opportunity to show a specialization with minors and areas of emphasis. The program is designed for the working student and can be completed online. Students must meet regular Marshall admissions standards and must have graduated from high school at least four years ago.

This opportunity is available to all former ITT students, including students living in Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia. Students enrolled in the distance learning R.B.A. program at Marshall will be charged the same low tuition and fees regardless of residency.

For more information students should contact Gooding at rba@marshall.edu or call the Office of Outreach and Continuing Studies at 304-696-2330.
