For Students: Additional opportunity to sign up to receive COVID-19 vaccination

Share

As announced in an e-mail message last week, higher education institutions in West Virginia MAY be receiving COVID-19 vaccine for students before the end of this semester.

This is a follow-up message to give students who missed the initial message or who have changed their minds about getting the COVID-19 vaccine an opportunity to sign up for the waiting list IF THE VACCINE IS OFFERED.

If you are a current student who did not respond to the first survey last week and you want to receive the vaccination, please complete this survey. To avoid duplication, if you completed the survey last week, you should not complete this survey.

Do not delay in responding to the survey. It will be closed when the state asks for Marshall’s final estimate of needed doses.

All survey responses are confidential and will be used solely for the purposes of requesting enough vaccine if the university does receive an allotment for students.

For now, we anticipate that all vaccinations would be administered on the Huntington campus. Students in South Charleston or the Mid-Ohio Valley Center would need to travel to Huntington if they wish to receive a vaccination.

The vaccinations would be entirely voluntary. If you do not want to receive a vaccine, you do not need to complete the survey.

Everyone who completes the survey will receive follow-up information as plans are finalized.

Please address any questions to COVID19@marshall.edu.
