Biography

Born & raised in Huntington WV, Alexandra Bright graduated from Marshall University with a BS in Geography and an emphasis on South Asian religious studies. She studied and received her yoga certification in Rishikesh, India, under Guru Omo and Yogacharya Mahesh, specializing in yoganidrā and guided meditations. Since 2014, she has taught and led yoga classes and retreats around the country (California, Florida, New Jersey, West Virginia, Ohio, etc.) and world (India and France) as well as led practices for non-profits, including GLOW and Autism Services. As a forever student, and in order to deepen the understanding of the practice, the self, and the world, she believes the modern yoga community could greatly benefit from the formal study of yogic philosophy and the historical roots of yoga. She has been studying & working with Dr. Jeffrey Ruff for six years.
