Biography
Dr. Roy is an Associate Professor of Classics and Religious Studies in the Humanities Department at Marshall University. She received her PhD in Classics at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Her interests include Greek and Roman historiography, identity in the Ancient Mediterranean, Achaemenid Persia, and Herodotus. She has published on Just War Theory, Thucydides and Lysias, Herodotus, and co-authored Race and Ethnicity in the Classical World: An Anthology of Primary Sources in Translation (Hackett 2013) with R. Kennedy and M. Goldman.
