2025

On December 3, 2024, Knox County Schools (TN) announced the removal of 48 titles from all libraries to comply with SB 2407. The Knox County chapter of Moms for Liberty helped identify titles for removal. Titles banned included Slaughterhouse-Five, The 57 Bus, A Light in the Attic, and In the Night Kitchen. Teachers and parents of district students spoke out against the lost educational opportunities for their children during the first board meeting after the book bans were announced.
