Marshall University does not ban books! The information is provided to let people know what has been banned/challenged elsewhere.

Challenged as a supplemental history textbook in the Roxbury Township (NJ) school district by two or three parents saying the book glorifies Islamic Jihad. After review by the district, the book was retained as a supplemental text from which seventh and eighth grade teachers could choose various activities that are educationally appropriate as they explore world cultures
