Banned Books 2022 – Monday’s Not Coming

Marshall University does not ban books! The information is provided to let people know what has been banned/challenged elsewhere.

2022

Loudoun County (VA) Public Schools initiated division-level reviews for two “dirty books,” Monday’s Not Coming by Tiffany Jackson and #MurderTrending by Gretchen McNeil, whose challengers were praised by Tucker Carlson of Fox News. The titles were retained.

A community member sent emails to library staff, principals, and district administrators of the Santa Barbara (CA) Unified School District requesting the removal of Monday’s Not Coming from junior high school library shelves, noting that the title had been challenged elsewhere. The book was retained.
