Banned Books 2013 – Stuck in Neutral

Marshall University does not ban books! The information is provided to let people know what has been banned/challenged elsewhere.

2013

Challenged at the Creekwood Middle School in Humble (TX) because the book was an “inappropriate reading assignment.” The fictional book is told in the first person by a teen with cerebral palsy and deals with such subjects as disabilities, quality of life, and euthanasia.

2004

Challenged, but retained on the reading list for eighth-graders at the Evansville (WI) High School despite concerns about profanity, sexual imagery, and violence.
