Images should be selected with the audience in mind – showing students, activities, and locations that will resonate with each specific audience. Images should appear authentic and candid, as opposed to staged and formal. Please do not use generic clipart, collages of images, older graphics that are unrelated to Marshall University, or add borders/drop shadow to any image. Also, you must follow all branding requirements when using the Marshall University logo.
For images to add to your website you're welcome to use any photo found on muphotos.marshall.edu.
Do not use images as the first piece of content on a page. This image should instead be used as a Featured Image that will appear in the hero section of the page.
You can added a hero image to any page by including a Featured Image in the WordPress editor. The correct size of the image should be at least 2,000 pixels wide and the height should be no larger than 750 pixels.
You can position the hero image within the hero section using the Background Position meta box.
