Program Overview
The Marshall University of Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program offers advanced education and training for professional nurses like yourself. The purpose of the program is to provide registered nurses to become advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) in a variety of healthcare settings.
The MSN degree at Marshall University focuses on 5 specialization areas. Three of the areas of emphasis are available online with a combination of asynchronous and synchronous courses, and one Friday visit to the main Huntington campus.
- Family Nurse Practitioner (Nursing CAS Application) (SON Application)
- Nurse Midwifery – Cooperative program with Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia (Nursing CAS Application) (SON application)
- Students must interview and be accepted by Shenandoah University before they are fully admitted to the program. Visits to Shenandoah University are also required.
- Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Cooperative program with Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia
- Students must interview and be accepted with Shenandoah University before they are fully admitted to the program. Visits to Shenandoah University are also required.
And two 100% online areas of emphasis:
