The Center for Sermon Studies was founded in 2014 as a service to Marshall faculty and students, members of faith communities in the tri-state area, and researchers around the world. It is multidisciplinary and interfaith, bringing scholars and practitioners together to discuss sermon texts and the art of preaching from a variety of academic and religious perspectives.
The Center sponsors an annual conference and publishes a peer-reviewed, open-access journal; links to other projects can be found at the top of this page.
Those interested in discussing matters related to preaching are invited to subscribe to the discussion list or join the Facebook group. For more information about the Center’s work, please contact the Director.
