Assistantships

Undergraduates available for financial aid may work in the Geography Department via the Federal Work Study program. Other financial aid is also be available. Please see Student Financial Aid.

Our department awards two Graduate assistantship positions each semester/year. GAs may receive between 70-100% tuition waiver and a stipend in exchange for 20 work hours per week. GAs typically teach physical geography lab sections, GIS lab sections, or serve as the lead instructor for an entire course from one to three credit hours.
