Geographic Education

Geography is universally recognized as a core subject in education, but often educators lack training in the discipline.  Training in Social Science at most colleges emphasizes History and Civics.  Training in Earth/Space Science at most colleges emphasizes Geology. But you can get the training to serve your students well with a major, minor, or certificate in Geography from Marshall’s Geography Department!

Your students need to know GIS, earth science geography, and social science geography to truly understand issues confronting society today–population change, smart agriculture, world conflicts, environmental change, sustainability, etc.  Let the Geography Department help you get that solid training for the good of your students.
