There are two tracks of Training and Professional Development for all advisors to participate in for the 2021-22 Academic Year entitled Advising Academy – Connections. These sessions will help us facilitate interpersonal and introspective connections.
There first track includes in-person sessions led by our campus partners; you can find each session title and date listed on the image below. We will commence with a session that brings advisors and student service offices together – reconnecting us and providing insight and reminders of all the services our campus provides to Marshall students. We will meet once monthly with masking and social distancing policies in place. You will receive monthly emails with detailed descriptions of the upcoming session along with a Teams link should you need to access the recording at a later date or time.

The second track of training and development is a virtual training through LinkedIn Learning. This training has two distinct sections: connecting with yourself and connecting with others. As you move through these modules, please make a genuine effort to adjust your workday as needed so that you can be at your best. Complete all 5 trainings between 8/16/21 and 04/30/22 and you’ll earn a LinkedIn Learning Certificate. You may complete these trainings at your convenience and report your completion via the website to receive your certificate.
