What are Technology Enhanced Classrooms?
Technology Enhanced Classrooms are designed to facilitate group collaboration and multimedia presentation. These spaces are designed to provide our faculty with the latest technologies and to help improve student learning outcomes through the promotion and support of new, high-tech teaching pedagogies.
Many of these classrooms are part of the program called TECI, which stands for Technology Enhanced Classroom Initiative. The classrooms managed by this program are openly available for scheduling via the Registrar’s office and are not “owned” by any one department. They have a standard set of general features, which include:
- An instructor PC with Microsoft Windows and Office 365 apps (including Teams)
- A webcam and microphone for virtual meetings or distance learning classes
- A digital pen display on the instructor’s lectern for annotation
- A projector or LED display(s) to show PC video
Which classrooms are T.E.C.I. Classrooms?
Not all enhanced rooms are part of Technology Enhanced Classroom Initiative, so look for the TECI label to see if your room is managed by the program. The TECI support staff can be reached by calling 304-634-2664 for immediate assistance. Here are a few buildings that feature TECI Classrooms:

What about Computer Labs?
Information Technology Facilities manages and maintains several computer labs on the main Huntington campus. Our main and largest learning space is Drinko Library, which includes the 24-hour Study Center, three floors of individual use computing stations, multiple Study, Team and Collaboration rooms. The following are IT-managed Computer Labs:
