Jazz Studies, B.F.A.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music with an emphasis in Jazz Studies prepares students for careers in performance, teaching and the modern music industry. Designed for students focused on jazz and contemporary styles, the program emphasizes improvisation, combo and big band performance, and individualized artistic development. Students gain hands-on experience through ensembles, performances and one-on-one instruction while building the skills needed for careers as soloists, ensemble musicians, studio teachers and other music professionals.
