Marshall University President Jerome A. Gilbert issued a statement upon learning of the sudden passing of faculty member Danny Ray.

More than 600 West Virginia elementary and middle school children will visit Marshall University’s Memorial Student Center from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., Friday, March 4, to participate in activities and games designed to help them learn about the brain and nervous system.

Dr. Peggy Proudfoot Harman of the Marshall University College of Health Professions has been named director of the college’s Master of Social Work degree program.

The Marshall Recreation Center is promoting fitness by inviting everyone to enter the Indoor Triathlon at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 5.

The open houses are held from 3 to 4 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month in Old Main 213. The next open house will be tomorrow, Wednesday, March 2.

“Reclaim, Restore, Revitalize West Virginia” is the theme for the 11th annual West Virginia Brownfields Conference. The event, hosted by the West Virginia Brownfields Assistance Centers, will take place Wednesday, Sept. 7, and Thursday, Sept. 8, at the Marriott Town Center in Charleston.
