Biology professor Dr. Elmer Price has been awarded a three-year grant from the National Science Foundation for his research on the brain and to support undergraduate students working on the project.

Dr. Michael Prewitt, dean of the College of Health Professions, has been named WSAZ’s most recent Hometown Hero.

Marshall researchers will be part of a $20 million scientific research project funded by the National Science Foundation. The award was announced by Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin and the state’s congressional delegation.

Marshall University and New River Community and Technical College have entered into two agreements that will allow students of New River CTC to apply up to 72 of their credits earned to bachelor’s degrees at Marshall.
