Information for Departments and Schools

In order to create a more inclusive and diverse supply base, departments making delegated small purchases must fully embrace the Marshall University Supplier Diversity Program. Many departments tend to use the same suppliers year after year, without considering diverse suppliers and small businesses whom often can provide competitive pricing and service. To support our efforts we ask that you:

  • Make use of existing contracts with diverse suppliers and/or small businesses.
  • Share information about new diverse suppliers and/or small business products and services with your colleagues.
  • Identify a diverse supplier and/or small business and consider directing department-level purchases under to those suppliers.

Small Business Subcontracting Plans Marshall University Research Corporation (MURC)

Marshall’s Supplier Diversity Program can also assist in locating suppliers for Small Business Subcontracting Plans for inclusion in grant proposals. For assistance, please contact your buyer.
