Kenneth Ellsworth “Ken” Jones was born in 1927, in Indianapolis. He served as sports director at WHTN-TV in Huntington and was a member of the West Virginia Sportscasters Association. The year before his death he was named Sportscaster of the Year. He was 47 and left a wife, Lois Anderson Jones, as well as three sons: Kristopher, Jeffrey, and Phillip.
