Biography
Adam Chapman resides in Huntington, West Virginia, with his husband Brad Chapman and daughter Reese. Adam is a proud Marshall University alumnus, and lifelong member of the Marshall University family. As a student, Adam performed as both a Marshall University Majorette and Feature Twirler from 2006 – 2011. Since returning to the program, he has dedicated more than 15 years to developing student performers and advancing the tradition of excellence within the Marching Thunder Majorettes and Feature Twirlers.
Adam currently serves as the Coordinator and Coach of the Marshall University Majorettes and Feature Twirlers, where he is responsible for recruitment, auditions, skill development, choreography, performance preparation, and mentorship of student performers. Under his leadership, the program has continued to grow while maintaining a strong emphasis on technical excellence, showmanship, character, and school pride.
Professionally, Adam serves as the Director of Financial Aid at Ashland Community and Technical College, where he works to promote student access, financial literacy, and student success. With more than two decades of experience in higher education, he has held leadership roles in financial aid administration, compliance, enrollment management, and student services.
Adam remains passionate about mentoring young performers and helping students develop confidence, leadership skills, and lifelong memories through their involvement with the Marching Thunder. He is honored to continue giving back to the program that played such an important role in his own Marshall experience.
