Apply to perform at the 2016 Marshall Honor Band
This year Marshall is going to invite two high school ensembles to perform in a special concert as part of the 2016 Marshall Honor Band.
The event will take place February 4-6, 2016 and the selected ensembles will perform for the honor band participants on Friday, February 5th at 3pm.
To apply you must
- Download the application
- Submit the application along with a CD containing a recording of your ensemble
- The recording should be made after January 2015
- Include two pieces of contrasting style
- Label the CD with the name of the school and the title of the two selections
- Include at least 2 programs from your concerts within the past 2 years
- Mail all materials by June 1, 2015
The selection process will include a panel of Marshall faculty. The selection will be done in a blind listening session where panel will not know which school is playing. Applicants will be notified by June 8th.
