
Biology senior Asha Bora, fresh off of personal bests at last week’s Sun Belt Cross Country Conference Championship, will present her research at the Society for Neuroscience 2025 Annual Meeting in San Diego, Nov. 15–19. A native of Hurricane, West Virginia, Bora will share findings from her undergraduate research in Dr. Spitzer’s lab, where she has worked for more than two years. She credits Marshall for helping her build the skills and confidence to succeed in research while balancing athletics and academics.
Bora is also a member of the Society of Yeager Scholars Class of 2026 and recently completed a competitive Amgen Scholars research program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She plans to pursue a Ph.D. in neuroscience after graduation.
