The Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology recognizes Madilyn, president of the Criminal Justice Association at Marshall University, and the organization’s members for their recent community service initiative benefiting Harmony House in Huntington.

Under Madilyn’s leadership, the Criminal Justice Association organized an essential items drive to support individuals in need served by Harmony House, a local nonprofit organization that provides support services and safe housing for individuals and families experiencing crisis. The initiative began when Madilyn contacted Harmony House directly to ask what items would be most useful to its clients, after which members of the organization worked collaboratively to secure and collect the requested supplies.

The department commends Madilyn and the Criminal Justice Association for their initiative, compassion, and commitment to community engagement, and for demonstrating leadership through meaningful service.
