Dr. Sachiko McBride from Marshall University’s Department of Mathematics and Physics recently appeared on WSAZ Studio 3 to share hands-on physics demonstrations and promote the upcoming KidsFest hosted by the Huntington Children’s Museum. Her segment highlighted interactive experiments designed to spark curiosity and make science approachable for young learners.

Community members will have two opportunities to experience these activities on campus. On June 8, Dr. Sachiko McBride will lead a portable planetarium experience, offering an immersive look at astronomy and the night sky. The program is designed for families and learners of all ages.

On June 9, Dr. Sachiko McBride and Dr. Sean McBride will present interactive science demonstration shows at Marshall University. The sessions will feature engaging physics concepts brought to life through live experiments and audience participation.

These events continue Marshall University’s commitment to outreach and science education. By partnering with the Huntington Children’s Museum, faculty are helping connect classroom learning with real-world discovery and inspiring the next generation of scientists.
