About Us

We are an interdisciplinary program offering classes both in Women’s Studies (our core classes) and cross-listed courses through departments across campus. Our faculty is drawn from a variety of departments, including (but not limited to), Art & Design, Classics, Criminal Justice, English, History, Marketing, Political Science, Psychology, Religious Studies, and Sociology. The program supports and sponsors events both on and off campus relevant to women’s social, cultural, personal, and political issues, with a strong commitment to women in the Appalachian region. The Women’s Studies program offers an undergraduate minor and a graduate certificate.
