Celia Ricottilli, a student leader in the First2 Network at Marshall University, presented her work at the First2 Conference in May 2026. Ricottilli, who serves as a student director for the program, shared a poster titled “Campus Club and Donuts with the Deans,” highlighting a campus initiative designed to foster connections between students and university leadership.

The First2 Network supports first-generation and underrepresented students pursuing STEM degrees across West Virginia, with a focus on building community, improving retention, and expanding opportunities for student success. Ricottilli’s project reflects those goals by creating informal, accessible spaces for students to engage with academic leaders and strengthen their sense of belonging on campus.

In addition to Ricottilli’s presentation, Marshall University was recognized at the conference with the Creative Continuation Award. The award honors innovative efforts to sustain and expand student engagement initiatives within the First2 Network.
