Members of Marshall University’s award-winning Society of Physics Students (SPS) chapter recently met to plan activities for the 2026-27 academic year, welcoming new students and outlining a variety of outreach and engagement opportunities.

The chapter’s plans include participation in several STEM outreach events throughout the year, including Science Olympiad, High School Science Day, the International Festival, and the WV Makes Festival. Students are also looking forward to a fall trip to Green Bank Observatory and the chapter’s annual Halloween Party.

Through its outreach efforts and student activities, the SPS chapter continues to connect Marshall University students with the community while helping foster interest in science among future generations of STEM learners.
