College of Science advisor Paige Kennedy receives statewide advising excellence recognition
The Marshall University College of Science is proud to congratulate Academic Program Manager Paige Kennedy on receiving Meritorious Recognition at the 2026 West Virginia Advising Excellence Awards.
Kennedy, who has served as an academic advisor since 2023, was recognized for her exceptional commitment to student success and academic advising. According to the award presentation, students know they can turn to Kennedy “as a first responder, not a last resort,” and her office is often marked by a steady line of students seeking guidance and support.
The recognition also highlighted Kennedy’s efforts to improve student retention through increased communication, proactive outreach, and early intervention strategies implemented within her advising team. Her dedication to helping students navigate challenges and stay on track toward graduation has made a lasting impact on the College of Science community.
The award was presented during the West Virginia Academic Advising Association’s annual advising conference. The College of Science congratulates Kennedy on this well-deserved honor and thanks her for her outstanding service to Marshall University students.
