The College of Science at Marshall University is pleased to announce that the NASA West Virginia Space Grant Consortium has awarded funding for the second annual College of Science High School Science Day (HSSD)—a NASA Day event proudly sponsored by the Consortium.
Led by Dr. Sean P. McBride, associate professor in the Department of Mathematics and Physics, the Spring 2026 event will welcome high school students and teachers from across the region for a day of exciting, hands-on science. The program will feature engaging demonstrations and interactive STEM activities designed to inspire students who are considering college and careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The event is expected to take place in April 2026, with the exact date to be finalized in collaboration with local teachers. RSVP is required. For more information, contact Dr. McBride at mcbrides@marshall.edu
