Mathematics students Cameron Loader, Rahson Robinson, and Macy Skaggs along with faculty member Dr. Stephen Deterding, brought the “Thundering Herd” spirit to the Undergraduate Mathematics Day 2025 hosted at the University of Dayton.

The event was a  full-day, in-person conference held at University of Dayton’s Science Center dedicated to celebrating and disseminating undergraduate mathematics research.

In addition to two plenary lectures, undergraduate (and graduate and high-school) participants were welcomed to deliver 15-minute contributed presentations (plus Q&A) on a wide range of topics in mathematics, its teaching and learning, history, and applications. Marshall’s team engaged with peers across institutions, presenting research that illustrates how mathematics goes beyond the classroom and into discovery, innovation, and community.
