Chemistry professor and student earn Society of Toxicology honors for 2026

Dr. Rosalynn Quiñones, professor of chemistry, and Delaney Geary, a senior majoring in forensic chemistry, have received prestigious awards from the Society of Toxicology for 2026. Both were recognized through the Society’s Undergraduate Development Program and will represent Marshall University at the 2026 SOT Annual Meeting.

Dr. Quiñones received the Undergraduate Development Program Advisor Travel Award, which recognizes faculty members who demonstrate exceptional commitment to mentoring undergraduate students and supporting their research and professional development. Her work in guiding students through research experiences has played an important role in preparing them for careers in chemistry and toxicology.

Delaney Geary was awarded the Undergraduate Development Program Student Travel Award, honoring her promise as an emerging researcher in toxicology. The award supports undergraduate students who show strong potential for graduate study and research in the field.
