The Marshall University College of Science is proud to celebrate the success of its alumni who recently matched into highly competitive medical specialties through the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.

College of Science alumni Alex Dague, Dominic Collins, and Alex Simpkins were among a group of fourth-year medical students recognized for their specialty match achievements. Dague matched in ophthalmology at the University of Cincinnati, while Collins and Simpkins both matched in urology at CAMC Medicine and Duke Health, respectively. Fellow student Nicholas Coker also matched in ophthalmology at the West Virginia University Eye Institute.

The Match marks a major milestone in medical training, determining where graduating medical students will continue their education in residency programs across the country. Matching into specialties such as ophthalmology and urology reflects years of academic dedication, clinical experience and perseverance.

The College of Science congratulates these alumni on their accomplishments and looks forward to seeing the impact they will make as they continue their medical careers.
