Mathematics welcomes new Pi Mu Epsilon honor society members

The Marshall University College of Science recently celebrated the induction of new members into its Pi Mu Epsilon chapter, recognizing outstanding achievement in mathematics.

On Friday, January 30, the Marshall chapter inducted Michael Davis, Belle Divine, Fred Dohring, Niko Faulcon, Lauren Hutchison, Cameron Loader, Katelyn Parker, Alex Patterson, and Rahson Robinson. Pi Mu Epsilon is a national mathematics honor society dedicated to promoting scholarly activity and academic excellence in mathematics among undergraduate and graduate students.

Membership in Pi Mu Epsilon is awarded on an honorary basis to students who demonstrate strong proficiency in mathematics. The organization also encourages continued academic growth through activities that support mathematical scholarship, collaboration, and professional development.

The Marshall University chapter is advised by Dr. Stephen Deterding, Assistant Professor of Mathematics. Pictured are new inductees Fred Dohring, Lauren Hutchison, Cameron Loader, Katelyn Parker, and Alex Patterson with Dr. Deterding.
