Physics student organizations celebrate Halloween with games, costumes, and stargazing
Members of the Society of Physics Students (SPS), the Marshall University Astronomy Club (MUAC), and Pi Mu Epsilon recently came together for a Halloween celebration filled with games, costumes, and astronomy.
The event brought together students, faculty, family members, and friends from across campus for activities including a costume contest, a mummy race, and a variety of Halloween-themed games. Special recognition goes to Hannah Turner, MUAC alumna, former club president, and current Ph.D. candidate in Biomedical Research, who led the planning and organization of the event.
The evening concluded with stargazing on Laidley Field, where attendees had the opportunity to observe Saturn and its rings through telescopes.
Organizers thanked everyone who participated and helped make the event a success. The celebration was supported by the Dr. Frederick W. Smith SPS Endowment Fund.
