CFS student and Yeager Scholar Bella Thompson excels in academics, athletics, and global study

Bella Thompson, a Yeager Scholar from Mooresville, North Carolina, is graduating from Marshall University with a major in cyber forensics and security and minors in English, Spanish, computer information technology, and management. Throughout her time at Marshall University, Thompson balanced rigorous academics with participation as a Division I student‑athlete on the Marshall Volleyball Team.

Thompson earned numerous honors recognizing both academic and athletic achievement, including the President’s List, Sun Belt Commissioner’s List, All‑Academic All‑District Team, Letterman Award, and Sun Belt Setter of the Week. She also earned designation as a Magnet Certified Forensic Examiner. Her success reflects a strong commitment to both scholarship and competition.

As a Yeager Scholar, Thompson participated in global and interdisciplinary experiences, including study abroad in Madrid with additional travel to Valencia, Segovia, and Toledo. She also credits faculty mentors for shaping her academic journey and values the collaborative learning experiences that defined the Yeager program.

Following graduation, Thompson will begin her professional career as an AI Solution Architect with Syniti, part of Capgemini. The College of Science congratulates Thompson on her accomplishments and wishes her continued success.
