Marshall University can provide a variety of settings for your seminars, workshops, conferences or sports camps individually tailored to the size and needs of your organization. Classrooms, auditoriums and comfortable meeting rooms are available. Our conference staff can provide you with assistance in determining proper spaces for your needs, set ups, as well as parking.  The university library’s 24-hour network access, printing services, campus post office, and our university bookstore are all available to meet your needs.  A recreation area is located in the Memorial Student Center which includes billiards, table tennis and a TV lounge.  For information about recreational facilities on campus, please contact Marshall Recreation Center at 304-696-4REC (4732).


Housing on the Marshall University campus is provided in the Twin Towers Residence Hall complex and in Marshall Commons, which offers residence suites.  Our residence halls offer the finest in community living accommodations. Twin Towers offers comfortable rooms designed for either single or double occupancy, air temperature control, wall-to-wall carpeting, two beds, desks and chairs. Community-style rest room facilities with showers are centrally located on each floor. Marshall Commons has multiple occupancy suites, with each suite having its own restroom and shower. Coin-operated laundry facilities are located on each floor of the Towers and on the ground floor of each Commons building. A television lounge and formal Glass Lounge are located on the main floor of Twin Towers, while each Commons building has a television lounge on the first floor. Vending machines are located on the main floor of each hall.

Marshall University is centrally located in downtown Huntington, West Virginia.  A broad variety of dining and entertainment opportunities are available within a few minutes walk from campus, as is Huntington’s downtown shopping district. Camps will be charged an additional night for each person not checked out by 12 noon. For groups with a mid-week check-in, the registration must be after 5:00pm.

Dining Hall Meals

An alphabetical listing of all persons (staff, resident participants and commuter participants) who will be eating should be given to the Facilities Scheduling Office at check-in. A person will not be allowed access to the cafeteria unless his/her name is on the meal list.

Food Service Payment Method

A purchase order must be issued to Sodexo for all meals before your event begins. Services will not be provided if purchase order(s) are not received.

List facilities needed, dates and times, as well as any needed equipment/housekeeping requirements. You will receive Reservation Confirmation based on this information. Please be as thorough as possible.
Parking Permits
This worksheet is provided for the convenience of the camp or conference director. Services, rates or facilities should be considered a commitment until they appear on the Special Event Registration Form and the Rental/Lease Agreement signed by the Facilities Scheduling Manager.

Your Planning Sheet must be received by Facilities Scheduling Office within two weeks of your initial booking inquiry or your dates will not be held.
