Marshall recognized as Gold-Level Campus for Exercise is Medicine program

Marshall University is setting the standard for promoting physical activity on college campuses in West Virginia. The university earned gold-level recognition in the Exercise is Medicine on Campus program, a U.S.-based health initiative through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). In 2016, the ACSM will recognize over 50 colleges and universities around the world

Athletic training director receives 2016 Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award from Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers’ Association

Dr. Joseph Beckett of the Marshall University College of Health Professions has been chosen as the recipient of the Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award from the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers’ Association (MAATA). Beckett, program director of the college’s Department of Athletic Training, is the only athletic trainer in West Virginia to receive a MAATA award in 2016.
