Rec Center to celebrate 7th anniversary Feb. 4

The Marshall Recreation Center will open its doors to the Marshall community to celebrate its 7th anniversary Thursday, Feb. 4.

To celebrate, the Marshall Recreation Center will be open to the Marshall community and all group fitness classes will be free. Members of the Marshall community are encouraged to visit the facility and try any of the fitness classes offered:

  • BODYPUMP®    6:15-7 a.m.
  • C.U.T.                  12:15-12:45 p.m.
  • Cycle-45              5:15-6 p.m.
  • Hard Core            6-6:30 p.m.
  • Piloxing               6:15-7 p.m.
  • Yoga Basics        7:15-8 p.m.
  • BODYPUMP®   7:15-8:15 p.m.
  • Hip-Hop Sculpt   8-9 p.m.

Anyone who wishes to join the Recreation Center on Feb. 4 can do so and receive February at no charge with a 12-month membership commitment.

Campus Recreation also will be raffling off a 1-year membership. The raffle will be held at the Welcome Desk. Patrons and guests are encouraged to enter to win as they come in the building.

A special reception will be held in the Rec Center lobby at 12:30 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public. Snacks and refreshments will be served.

Informational sessions will be available for Marshall employees at 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. about the benefits of the Marshall Health fitness program. Employees must have PEIA insurance to participate.

Since opening in 2009, the Marshall Recreation Center has aided many students, employees and members of the community on the journey to live a more healthful lifestyle.
