The 8th annual Brain Expo hosted by Marshall University’s College of Science has been cancelled today due to weather conditions. The event was scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Memorial Student Center on Marshall’s Huntington campus.

Dr. Nadja Spitzer, assistant professor in the college and an organizer for the event, said they will work to reschedule the event for the 600 elementary and middle school students who planned to attend today.

“Unfortunately, many of the students registered for Brain Expo today were not able to attend due to the inclement weather,” Spitzer said. “We have therefore decided to cancel the event. We will work to reschedule and will be in touch when we a new date is set. Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience.”

An updated media advisory will be released when the new date is scheduled.
