Finding Your Space- International Student Edition- “Finding Your Space” is a group for international students on campus that assists students with finding their space, expressing their identity, engaging on campus, and discussion of challenges for international/minority students. This group will also help to connect students with on-campus and community resources. This group is confidential, and we will discuss the complexities of diversity, culture, and mental health. All are welcome!

Finding Your Space- Being a Minority at a PWI-    “Finding Your Space” is a group for all minority students with finding their space, expressing their identity, engaging on campus, and discussion of challenges of minority students.  In this confidential and courageous community environment, we will discuss confronting the complexities of diversity, culture, and mental health. Come for a fun and engaging group!

Color me Well- Color Me Well – An art therapy group that meets on Thursdays at 2:30 PM in East Hall 115.  The group starts on ? The group is facilitated by two licensed counselors Sharon Stackpole, MA and Ryan Majher, M.Ed, LPCC.  We discuss mental health topics and utilize art therapy exercises to aid students with the development of coping strategies and processing of emotions.  We utilize vicarious art mediums with the art exercises and encourage students of all different skill levels to participate in an open, fun, and accepting environment! The group will focus on self-esteem and self-compassion.

Mindful Eating Group- Join our mindful eating workshop to explore mindfulness techniques to foster a healthier relationship with eating, understand hunger cues, and learn new mindfulness techniques. This workshop helps to promote awareness, helping you make better choices for overall wellbeing. Additionally, learn new recipes that you can take home with you to gain confidence in making your own nourishing meals at home.

I Thought It Was Me- I Thought it Was Me: A Processing and support group for adult survivors of childhood abuse.    

Location:  EH 115

Write it Out Therapy Group- Write It Out is a self-exploration and processing journaling group to address thoughts and feelings that may feel too difficult to say out loud. We will discuss and complete journal prompts in and out of session to develop self-awareness, process emotions, and gain a better understanding of our mental health. No writing experience needed – journals will be provided.

Empowered Self- Healing from Sexual Trauma 

Location:  EH 115 

Meeting Information:  Tuesday 2-3, Group begins September 12th.

DSBA- This group focuses on coping with depression and bipolar.  Depression and bipolar support alliance provides hope, help, support, and education to improve the lives of people who have mood disorders.  

Location:  Harris Hall 230

Doing it All: Full-time parent and full-time student – This group is for full-time parents and full times students.  

Location:  Women’s and Gender Center OM 115 

Meeting Information:    1:00-2:00 on the last Friday of each month starting January 26th.

Gro Garden Therapy – Gro Garden Therapy, where we will be feeling our feelings and emotions while filling our garden with vegetation and flowers.  Gro is a community of mutual care which encourages personal healing through connection to nature.  We seek to serve our communities by cultivating natural beauty, healthy foods, and neighborly service.  We provide a safe space to learn new skills and encourage active service in a supportive community.  

Note** The green house is very warm so dress accordingly.  

Location:   Campus greenhouse (located on the campus side of the Science Building. Entrance is at the right side of the greenhouse).

Meeting Information: Thursdays at 3:30. The last group meeting will be October 12th.

Body Image – This group will assist students with body image concerns and will assist participants in learning more about body image, self-esteem, self-concept, and learning to love oneself.

Location:  EH 115 (starts on 9/15)

OCD – Focus on OCD Symptoms – This group focuses on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and associated symptoms. This therapy group will also serve as a support system for students diagnosed with OCD.

Location:  Drinko Library 439 

Meeting Information: Wednesdays 2-3, group begins September 13th.
