Session Title: When Online Works Better than the Classroom

Abstract: Academia is shifting to a greater online presence and promises higher enrollments because it is cheaper and very popular among students. After many years of experimenting with my online courses and with ideas that I gained from WAC, CT, FYS, and Quality Matters workshops, I have found ways to actively engage students, that are more effective online than in the actual classroom. I would like to share some of these techniques, especially with colleagues who still resist online delivery.
