We invite all students, faculty, and staff to stop by and play some trivia and pick up information about Title IX on campus.
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. Title IX protects people from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities that receive federal financial assistance. Title IX states:
“No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”
The Office of Equity Programs – 50th Anniversary of Title IX
This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the enactment of Title IX. The Office of Equity Programs/Title IX invites students, faculty, and staff to participate in the celebration and the opportunity to sign our commemoratory Title IX placard. Come join us June 23, 2022 at Buskirk Field at 11:30 pm-12:30 pm.

Marshall University will host a Juneteenth Celebration on Thursday, June 16, from 2:30-5 p.m.
The program is free and open to the public and will feature food and live music from FourChill. The event will be held under a tent on Harless Field on Fifth Ave. between Harless Dining Hall and City National Bank.
Juneteenth is a federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans in the U.S. The holiday is observed annually on June 19, which falls on a Sunday this year.
