  • Open Internet Explorer. Click on “Tools”, then “Internet Options” on the menu bar.
  • In the window that appears, click on “Security Options”
  • Click on “Trusted Sites” (the big green check mark)
  • Turn off the “Enable Protected Mode” check box
  • Click on the “Sites” button.

Add the following two sites to the list of trusted sites:

  • Make sure the “Require Server Verification” check box is not checked.
  • Close and save all windows.
  • Close Internet Explorer.
  • Re-Open Internet Explorer

Go to the BlueZone website, and selection Version 5.0C4 at the bottom of the page. Click on Web-To-Host Java download. This will install Java (if it is not already installed) and BlueZone. User intervention is required to respond to prompts to install java and the BlueZone code. Answer in the affirmative (Yes, Accept, OK) to all prompts.

Repairing A Bad Installation

If a previous version of BlueZone has been installed on a Vista or Windows 7 machine, it must be removed with the following procedures before the new version will work.

Browse to the installation site listed and run EZClear. When presented with the prompt to run EZClear, check the first box, leave the second unchecked, and run. EZClear is finished when the window disappears from the screen.

Close Internet Explorer

Search the hard drive for a directory called BlueZone. It will likely have subdirectories such as Certs, Configs, Macros, Scripts, etc. Delete the BlueZone directory.

Run RegEdit from the command prompt. Search for all instances of “Seagull” and delete them. Do not delete the entire key where Seagull is one of many values – just delete the Seagull portion of the key.

Reboot, then proceed with the Clean Install procedures listed above.
