RightFax

OpenText™ RightFax is a centralized fax server solution that provides secure, reliable faxing capabilities across the University. RightFax integrates faxing with email, desktop applications, and document management systems, allowing users to send and receive faxes electronically without relying on standalone fax machines.

This centralized approach improves reliability, privacy, and efficiency while supporting electronic document workflows and reducing costs and paper use.

Key Benefits

  • Send faxes directly from your workstation.
  • Receive incoming faxes even when your computer is turned off, eliminating the risk of lost faxes due to paper shortages or machine malfunctions.
  • Deliver incoming faxes to your email inbox for greater privacy than shared fax machines.
  • Handle faxes electronically, helping reduce paper usage.
  • Send outgoing faxes to user‑created distribution lists.
  • Use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to make incoming faxes searchable.
