When: July 1, 2015-August 31, 2015

Who: All students, faculty, staff, alumni, and fans of the Marching Thunder are invited to participate. The winning t-shirt design will be produced as a limited run and sold by the Marching Thunder at various events throughout the season.  The winner will receive a free shirt and along with a guest, will join the Marching Thunder at a home game.

Why: Just because!

Design Specifications

  • Your design should be Marching Thunder themed
  • Your design may contain a maximum of four (4) colors (plus the shirt color).
  • Design should not exceed 8 ½ x 11 inches.
  • Designs may be created using a professional design program. If you use Photoshop or other paint programs, then the design must be no less than 600 dpi at 8 ½ x 11 inches in dimension
  • The University’s brand colors should be incorporated in the design.
  • The design should be created for use on either a white, grey, black, or kelly green shirt.  The fial look shirt color will be decided by the contest committee.
  • Official Marshall athletics logos and marks are prohibited from use in the design
  • Use of the University’s institutional logo is permitted.
  • All artwork must be original

How to submit

  • All artwork must be emailed to daltona@marshall.edu
  • All submissions must be accompanied by the participant’s name, contact number, and what inspired their design. This information can be provided in the body of the submission e-mail.
  •  If the design is hand-drawn or painted, it must be scanned and converted into a PDF or jpeg file.
  • Your submission should be a PDF or jpeg file no larger than 5MB. If you win, we will ask you for a high-resolution file.
  • By submitting your design, you agree to have it shared on the Marching Thunder website and social media pages.
  • The Marching Thunder will have all rights to the winning design. By submitting, you agree that if your design wins, it will be sold by the Marching Thunder on a T-shirt and other promotional items.
  • We reserve the right to make adjustments to the winning design based on University guidelines or printing limitations.

 

Designs will be judged based on quality and relevance. The judging panel will consist of Marshall faculty, staff, and students.
