Abstract:
In keeping with the conference theme of best practices for transformative student engagement, the Design Center team will present a workshop showcasing how Ultra tools can increase pedagogical transparency. This workshop will allow participants to create an interactive module template for easy replication throughout course(s). Working with the various components of a Learning Module, participants will practice scaffolding Ultra tools for (1) content delivery (PowerPoints, Panopto, VoiceThread), (2) course engagement, and (3) assignment creation and assessment.

*Ideally, participants should bring a laptop and be prepared to work on a major unit/assignment using related content and files.

Session type: Workshop, Hybrid (virtual live stream and face-to-face)

Key words: Blackboard, Ultra rollout, transparent pedagogy, interactive tools, best online-learning practices
