Session Title: Travel/Field Experiences for Student Success

Abstract: During the last 18 years at Marshall University, I have taken my students on 28 international trips. Our conservation focus includes pre-trip content, the student production of educational materials, and the utilization of new assessment techniques/tools. We build small, mixed learning communities among our students that persist. These are reinforced by use of a shared physical space, student led educational outreach, volunteering, and additional local/regional experiences.
