Open Classrooms: A Week of Teaching Visits

Have you ever wondered how other faculty engaged their students in the classroom, managed classroom behaviors, or facilitated stimulating and provocative discussions?

The Center for Teaching and Learning is pleased to offer a distinctive professional development opportunity for all faculty. Inspired by, and adapted from, a program at Vanderbilt University, Open Classrooms: Observations of Teaching will provide faculty with opportunities to observe Open Classroom Hosts (individuals who demonstrate some of the very best classroom practices). Observers will study various teaching strategies in action, identify potential teaching mentors and partners, and gain ideas to use in their own classrooms.

Observations will occur during the month of April.
